WOMEN’S SWIM/DIVE
The 16th-ranked Hope College women’s swimming and diving team completed a perfect MIAA dual meet record with a 187-82 victory at Kalamazoo College on Saturday. The Flying Dutch took first in 10 events en route to their fifth dual meet win against a league opponent. Junior Alyssa Kerkman won the 100-yard butterfly by clocking a winning time of 58.00 seconds. Hope next competes during the MIAA Championships on Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 16-19, at Holland Aquatic Center.
MEN’S SWIM/DIVE
The 18th-ranked Hope College men’s swimming and diving team cruised to a 192-83 victory at Kalamazoo College on Saturday in the final MIAA dual meet of the season. The Flying Dutchmen finished league competition with a 4-1 dual meet record. Hope posted 12 first-place performances at Kalamazoo, including a school-record from Conner Halberg in the 200-yard freestyle. The freshman posted a swim of 1 minute, 38.94 seconds that eclipsed Daniel Keith’s 2019 mark of 1:40.21. Halberg’s time is the 10th fastest in NCAA Division III this season.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The third-ranked Hope College women’s basketball team claimed an 80-46 Senior Day victory vs. Saint Mary’s College at DeVos Fieldhouse. Senior Olivia Voskuil led the Flying Dutch with 14 points. Hope improved to 18-1 overall and 10-1 in MIAA play. The Flying Dutch’s next game is 7:30 tonight against Alma College at home. Hope plays at Calvin University on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Hope College men’s basketball team defeated Adrian College, 82-68, on Saturday at DeVos Fieldhouse to remain atop the MIAA standings. Sophomore Tanner Wiegerink scored 14 points on a perfect game shooting (5-of-5 from the field, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range, and 2-of-2 from the foul line). The Flying Dutchmen (15-5, 8-1 MIAA) return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Trine University.
WOMEN’S TRACK/FIELD
The Hope College women’s indoor track and field team recorded 17 Top 10 performances on Friday at the Grand Valley State University Snowdown Showdown. Sophomore Taylor Novotny and freshman Greta Robrahn each posted a pair of Top 10 finishes in jumps and throws, respectively. Robrahn also improved her own school record in the shot put with a toss of 12.87 meters (42 feet, 2 3/4 inches).
MEN’S TRACK/FIELD
The Hope College men’s indoor track and field team posted 19 Top 10 efforts on Friday at the Grand Valley State University Snowdown Showdown. Junior Case VanderZee recorded two of them in the long jump and the high jump. Junior Jackson Player also had Top 10 performances in the 60-meter hurdles and the high jump. Sophomore Dan Campbell won the 1-mile run for the Flying Dutchmen.
WOMEN’S TENNIS
The Hope College women’s tennis team opened up the spring season with a 6-3 victory against NCAA Division II opponent Davenport University on Friday in non-league play at DeWitt Tennis Center. The No. 3 doubles team of junior Delanie Riebschleger and sophomore Annika WeebeR earned a point for the Flying Dutch. Hope also won the No. 1 doubles flight and four singles matches.

The Hope College men’s tennis team earned a split of non-league matches at DeWitt Tennis Center over the weekend. The Flying Dutchmen defeated NAIA Spring Arbor University, 6-3, on Saturday after losing to Division II Davenport University on Friday. Hope is now 1-1 on the season. Junior Cameron Coates earned points for the Flying Dutchmen against Spring Arbor at the No. 2 singles flight and the No. 3 doubles flight with junior Tyler Koran.
