HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Feb. 3, 2022) – The third of three new exhibits at the Holland Area Arts Council on East 8th Street was unveiled on Thursday.
“Stories Without Words (Thoughts Without Stories)” features the work of Chris Protas. The Vermont-born artist has been the co-director of the Fire Barn Gallery in Grand Haven, and is currently Artists Relations Manager at AllArtsWorks, which represents creations by hundreds of artists nationwide. His exhibit runs through March 28th at the Arts Council’s Armstrong Gallery.
Opening last month was “To Have and To Hold” by Muskegon-born Elliot Johnson in Lievense Gallery, which runs through February 27th, and “Pop Metaphorically” by regional artist Erica Kuhl, which runs through March 12th in the Padnos Gallery.
There will be receptions on Thursday, February 10th for Johnson’s exhibit, and on Thursday February 17th for Kuhl’s exhibit. Both receptions, open to the public, will be from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
The Holland Area Arts Council currently has open gallery hours middays on Tuesdays & Thursday (10:30 AM-12:30 PM), as well as on Thursday evenings from 6-7:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM.
