ROBINSON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Jan. 26, 2022) – Five persons, including a six-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy, were hurt in a two-vehicle crash west of Allendale on Wednesday morning.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Cal Keuning, deputies and other first responders were dispatched shortly after 9 AM to Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) between 96th and 104th avenues. It was determined that a westbound vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old woman from the western Montana town of Troy, lost control on the snow-covered roadway, crossed the center line, and was hit head-on by an eastbound vehicle, driven by a 59-year-old Nunica man.
The woman, along with a 54-year-old Zeeland woman and the two children who were passengers in her vehicle, were taken to the Spectrum Health downtown complex for treatment, with the older woman and the six-year-old initially listed in critical condition. The man was taken to Mercy Health in Muskegon in stable condition.
No names were disclosed, as per Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department protocol. M-45 was closed for a short period while the crash site was attended to. The incident remains under condition.
