ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM – Jan. 25, 2022) – Those KN95 masks that the Biden Administration wants in the hands of all Americans are now available through the Allegan County Health Department.
Beginning on Tuesday, department staffers will be distributing those COVID 19 preventative devices at the county’s Human Services Building on 122nd Avenue from 2 PM to 5 PM on Mondays through Wednesdays, and from 9 AM to 12 PM on Thursdays and Fridays. Residents are asked to stay in their vehicles to pick up their masks, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.
“Our goal is to get these out to those in the community to replace less effective masks such as cloth,” said ACHD Public Information Officer Lindsay Maunz in a department statement. “It takes a village and it would be helpful if community organizations might be willing to redistribute to those they serve.”
These free KN95 and N95 masks are coming via the state’s “Mask Up, Mask Right” campaign. More information on the ACHD program is here.
