Roger Henry Brower, age 76, of Zeeland, MI, peacefully passed away at his home on January 11, 2022, surrounded by his loving family after a 6 week battle with lung cancer.
Roger was preceded in death by twin sons Mark Allen and Mitchell Lee, parents Henry and Emily Brower, his parents-in-law Gerald and Quirena Schutte, his sister-in-law Leona Wyngarden and brother-in-law Ray Watjer.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lois Brower, and by his children Michelle and Greg Kuiper, Kim Brower, Mark and Sammanthia Brower, Rick and Mandi Brower; grandchildren: Jordan and Kristen Kuiper, Torie and Nick Bonzelaar, Gage Brower, Carter Brower, Ryerson Brower, Jakob Brower, Ethan Brower, and Aiden Brower, great-grandchildren: Riley Bonzelaar and Reagan Bonzelaar.
He is also survived by his sisters Judy and David Vander Zouwen, Mary and Eldon Nyhof, Pat and Luke Hilton, brothers-in-law John and Diana Schutte, Roger Wyngarden, and sister-in-law Karen Watjer, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Born in Holland, MI Roger was a graduate of Holland Christian High School and Davenport University. Roger worked as an accountant at several companies in the area, retiring several years ago from Zeeland Farm Services. Roger was very active in his church, serving in a variety of roles including deacon, elder, and treasurer. He was a quiet, gentle soul who loved deeply and gave generously of his time. He will be missed by so many.

Visitation is scheduled for 4-7 pm, Thursday, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland MI 49423. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, January 14, 2022, at First Christian Reformed Church, 15 S. Church Street, Zeeland MI 49464. Interment will be in West Drenthe Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice or First CRC-Zeeland.
