Both of Grand Valley State’s basketball teams were in action on Monday. In Romeoville, Illinois, Rylie Bisballe’s 22 points enable the Lakers to win a women’s game against host Lewis, 65-60. Meanwhile, Jelani Simmons had 21 points as visiting Southern Indiana downed the men in Allendale, 68-63. GVSU’s men and women are off until hosting a doubleheader at the Fieldhouse Arena next Friday, December 31st, when the women take on Central State and the men battle Judson.
In state major-college basketball last night, Western Michigan lost at Notre Dame, 85-52, while Eastern Michigan fell at Valparaiso, 67-55. This evening, Michigan State faces Oakland at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, while Michigan is home to Purdue-Fort Wayne.
