ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic crash that killed a pedestrian on Friday, December 17.
Deputies were dispatched to southbound I-196 near mile marker 50 in Fillmore Township just before 7 p.m. for a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, deputies determined the victim to be deceased.
The victim is not being identified at this time due to pending family notification.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Graafschap Fire Department, Holland Fire Department, MDOT, and AMR.
