HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Grants totaling just over $1 million have been announced for 41 small businesses in 28 Michigan communities, including some along the Lakeshore.
These businesses represent 228 jobs, and the grants are part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Match on Main program, a partnership with the State of Michigan. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer indicated in an email she wants to build on the 67,000 jobs added in the last three months.
Among recipients of the $25,000 dollar grants:
- JW’s Food and Spirits through Grand Haven’s Main Street Downtown Development Authority
- LORDE Beauty and Cosmetics LLC, and Brown Butter Creperie and Café, though Uptown Grand Rapids, Inc.
- The Wayland Main Street Downtown Development Authority secured $25,000 for Wayland Hotel Bar and Grill
- Tantrick Brewing Co., LLC, is getting a grant though the City of Allegan
