GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Two drivers involved in a crash near the Ottawa/Kent county line in Jenison were injured on Friday (Dec. 10, 2021) night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Nicholas Knott, deputies and first responders were dispatched to the area near Kenowa Avenue and 44th Street shortly before 9 PM on a report of a collision with one of the motorist pinned inside of his vehicle. “The investigation at the scene showed that a 32-year-old man from Las Vegas, Nevada was driving eastbound on 44th Street near Regal Avenue when he crossed the center line and struck the vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Jenison man who was traveling west on 44th,” Knott said in a department statement.
Georgetown Township Fire Department personnel were able to extricate the one subject from the vehicle, and that individual was transported to University of Michigan Health-West by Life EMS with non-life threatening injuries. The report also indicated that the other motorist was not injured, but Knott did not give any other details of the incident, which remains under invesitgation.
Hey this is slightly incorrect, I was there it was actually the other car “the Jenison man” in a silver truck who collided into the Las Vegas guy
Apparently you need to conact Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Nicholas Knott, for this is what he posted: “Investigation on scene showed that a 32 year old Las Vegas resident was East Bound on 44th St when he crossed the center line and struck a 36 year old Jenison resident who was traveling West on 44th St.” If Knott posts a correction, we will correct the story. Thanks.
