Paul Steven Beyer, 85, of Holland was called home to Heaven on Friday, Dec 3, 2021, as he was surrounded by his family.
Paul was born to Manley and Johanna Beyer on June 22, 1936, in Holland. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy. After serving his country, he returned home and married the love of his life, Donna Fay (Riemersma) on May 3, 1958. Family came first for Paul, whether it was coaching his son’s rocket football team, cheering his daughter’s on at volleyball games or attending numerous band and vocal concerts, Paul was there for his family. While Paul and Donna raised their 3 kids in Zeeland, Paul’s faith was evident as he served as Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Elder Chairman, and Deacon at Berean Bible Church (now Parkside Bible Church) in Holland. He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years until his retirement when he retired to Florida where he loved playing golf and spending time with his many friends and family.
Paul is survived by: his wife of 63 years Donna; his children Steven Beyer of Holland, Diane (Robert) Kavanaugh of Ocala, Florida, Karen (David) Barrigear of Holland; Grandchildren, Nathan Sutherlin, Lucas (Juhyeon) Kavanaugh, Hilary Kavanaugh, Ashley (Josh) Craycraft, and Seth (Cheryl) Barrigear; great-grandsons, Aiden Markward and Wyatt Craycraft; brother, David Beyer of Florida; sister-in-law, Dolores (Jerry) Moore, Carol (Lyle) VanderHaar and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his granddaughter Mandy Sutherlin.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, Dec 7, 2021, at Parkside Bible Church 14461 James St. Holland, MI with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Parkside Bible Church where Paul dedicated so much of his life to helping spread the Gospel of His Lord and Savior.
