HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Two women were hurt in a traffic crash late Sunday morning, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Dill, in an email to media.
The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. on US-31 at Port Sheldon Street in Olive Township, when the driver of a GMC Acadia hit the back end of a Ford Explorer in the southbound lanes of US-31. The Explorer’s driver had stopped for the red light, and went by ambulance to Holland Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, according to Dill. He indicated the GMC’s driver also went by ambulance to Holland Hospital, for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries.
Southbound US-31 was closed for an hour, for the safety of investigators and those cleaning up the scene.
