Ottawa County’s dashboard reflects 5,654 people testing positive so far this month, just under the second-worst month of the entire pandemic, and 32 deaths blamed on the virus, but none listed since Nov. 19. Last November is, so far, the worst in terms of illness, with 8,222. December of 2020 had the highest deaths, 111. Details online at https://covid-hub-ottawacountymi.hub.arcgis.com/
Allegan County’s dashboard does not appear to function, with no data reported. Last week, county health officials noted on the department’s Facebook page there had been technical difficulties. This week, the ability for people to comment on that Facebook page has been disabled.
Free COVID-19 tests are available on an on-going basis through both counties.
COVID-19 vaccines, which are also free, are available on an appointment or walk-in basis throughout West Michigan. Visit https://vaccinatewestmi.com.
