Larry Conner, age 83, of Hopkins, MI, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Holland Hospital with his family by his side.
Larry was a loving father, and a loyal, devoted husband and caregiver to his wife, Patricia. He served in the US Army from 1960-1966 and was a lifelong member of LifeChange Community Church in Burnips, MI. He was employed by Herman Miller for 38 years, working as a furniture manufacturer. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed bird watching, sports, and had a passion for woodworking and crafting. Most of all, Larry will be remembered for his servant’s heart and his great love for his family. To him, family was everything.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Frieda; his son, Jeffrey; and his granddaughter, Jessica.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children: Tod (Tulip) Conner, Amy (Chris) Ambrose, Beverly (Rev. David) Kimball; 11grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; siblings: Connie (Larry) Meurs, Tom (Joan) Conner, Marcia (Harley) Sietsema, John (Sherry) Conner; in-laws: Jean Butcher, Jim Graves, Gail Bowser, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honor the life of Larry will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at LifeChange Community Church, 3014 Newell Street, Dorr, MI. Rev. Steve Jones will officiate. A time of visitation will be held Friday, the day prior from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St, Zeeland. Burial will take place in Salem Township Cemetery.
