This fall, two Hope College student-athletes claimed Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Most Valuable Athlete honors: women golf’s Grace VanDellen, pictured left, and volleyball’s Tracy Westra, pictured right, Also, volleyball’s Maggie Wehrmeyer was chosen as the MIAA’s Defensive Player of the Year in her sport.

FOOTBALL
Ten student-athletes from the MIAA co-champion Hope College football team claimed All-MIAA honors this season: First Team Offense, Terrell Harris, Brady Eding, and Luke Marsh; First Team Defense, Brady Howe; Second Team Offense, Lou Baechler, Dylan Clem, TJ McKenzie Jr., and Daniel Romano; Second Team Defense, Toby Hulst and Jeremiah Purnell.
VOLLEYBALL
Five student-athletes from the MIAA champion Hope College volleyball team received All-MIAA recognition, including first-time MIAA Most Valuable Player Tracy Westra. Two teammates joined Westra on the All-MIAA First Team: McKenna Otto and Maggie Wehrmeyer (MIAA Defensive Player of the Year). Charlotte Brecht and Ana Grunewald made the second team.
WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Six student-athletes from the MIAA champion Hope College women’s cross country team earned all-league honors: First Team, Jacinda Cole, Rebecca Markham, and Ana Tucker; Second Team, Libby Gorman, Ellie Jankowski, and Anna Mason.
MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY
Four student-athletes from the Hope College men’s cross country team ran away with All-MIAA honors this season: First Team, Connor Vachon, and Nick Hoffman; Second Team, Anders Bogard and Gabe DeYoung.
WOMEN’S SOCCER
Three student-athletes from the MIAA Tournament champion Hope College women’s soccer team received All-MIAA recognition this season: First Team, Sarah Mikesell, and Jenna Mustapha; Second Team, Caroline Burkhardt.
MEN’S SOCCER
Four student-athletes from the Hope College men’s soccer team earned All-MIAA honors this season: First Team, Matt Wimmer and Brandon Fles; Second Team, Ethan Jansen and Jackson Strabel.
