HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 19-year-old Clinton Township man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle rollover crash at the intersection of Pierce Street and 64th Avenue in Allendale Township just before 7:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2021.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Smoes indicated the Clinton Township man had been driving east on Pierce Street in a Ford Escape, with one passenger, a 19-year-old Richmond woman.
The driver told police he stopped at the stop sign, then drove into the intersection. Police indicated he pulled into the path of a northbound Ford Edge, with a 35-year-old Allendale man at the wheel. There is no stop sign for drivers on 64th Avenue. The crash sent the Escape rolling into a ditch in the northeast corner of the intersection.
The Clinton Township man went by ambulance to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital. His passenger and the Edge’s driver were not physically injured, according to Smoes.
Allendale Township firefighters and Life EMS assisted at the scene.
