HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The City of Holland has extended leaf pick-up work.
Residents now have until Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, to get leaves raked to the street next to the curb or onto the road shoulder, for those without curbs.
City officials indicated only leaves will be picked up, not branches or other debris.
Leaves should be piled up away from utility poles, guy wires, fire hydrants, mailboxes or other obstructions that would prevent city equipment from picking up the leaves.
City officials are asking people living near storm drain to take special precautions to keep leaves off and away from those storm structures to avoid blockages and limit puddling or flooding of nearby homes, as well as water pollution. Learn more: the-macc.org/watershed/overview.
