HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 27-year-old Allendale man suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a Thursday traffic crash, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Smoes.
The crash happened just before 7:45 p.m. Nov. 5, 2021, at the intersection of 24th Avenue and Cleveland Street in Wright Township.
Police found the Allendale man had been southbound on 24th Avenue in a Jeep Cherokee and failed to yield to a Ford Taurus that had been headed east on Cleveland Street with a 56-year-old Marne man at the wheel. Both vehicles then ended up in the ditch after the collision.
The Allendale man went by ambulance to Spectrum Butterworth in Grand Rapids. The Marne man was not physically injured, according to police.
This crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
