Donald J. Jubin, 91, of Holland, died unexpectedly Monday, November 1, 2021, at his home. Don was the husband of Noella (Gauvin) Jubin. Born in Providence Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Henry and Jeanne Jubin. Don and Noella resided in Holland for the past 23 years. Mr. Jubin was formerly employed at the Leviton Manufacturing Co., in Warwick, RI. He served as their director of human resources for 32 years until his retirement in 1995. Don was a former professional baseball player in the minor leagues with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians. He also served in the Korean Conflict as a Military Policeman. Don graduated from Bryant University in Providence, RI, the class of 1959. He was a former member of the Rotary Club and Personnel Executive Club of Rhode Island. He was a member of the Henry Walters VFW Post #2144 in Holland. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Noella, his daughters: Lynn (Mariusz) Koziol, and Jill (Steve) Miskelley; his granddaughter Chelsea (Jeremiah) Garcia, and his brother Steve Jubin. He was preceded in death by his grandson Ian Miskelley in 2020, his brother Henry Jubin, and sister Phyllis Dennigan.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 480 152nd Ave., Holland MI 49424. A time of visitation will be prior to the funeral from 10:00-11:45 am at the church. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ian Miskelley Memorial Fund C/O Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area.
