HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Four people went by ambulance to area hospitals after a car-van crash Wednesday morning, according to Ottawa county Sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Dill
The crash happened just after 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at the intersection of Byron Road, just east of 32nd Avenue in Jamestown Township.
Police investigators learned that a 23-year-old Pullman man, driving a Ford Econoline van east, turned in front of a westbound Volkswagen Jetta, with a 42-year-old Wyoming woman at the wheel.
The crash sent the VW into a water-filled ditch. The van landed upside down, trapping the Wyoming woman inside. She was extricated by firefighters from Jamestown and Zeeland townships and went by ambulance to Spectrum Butterworth with what Dill indicated were non-life-threatening injuries.
The Pullman man wasn’t physically hurt in the crash, but three of the eight passengers in the van went by ambulance to Spectrum Zeeland for evaluation and treatment of minor injuries.
