Santiago “Jim” Arredondo, age 84, of Holland, died Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Jim enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, camping and just being in the outdoors and he always had a good step for dancing.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rose (Calvo) Arredondo in 2016, son Anthony Arredondo, parents Jesus and Consuelo B. Arredondo and brother Alberto Arredondo in 1975.
He is survived by his children: Lucy Arredondo and Dwight Ross, Jim Arredondo, Gene, and Christine Arredondo, Frank Arredondo and Rachel and O’dell Morgan Jr.; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Jesus and Mary Arredondo Jr., Antonio and Yudiana Arredondo, Alfonso Arredondo and Eduardo and Polly Arredondo; sisters: Alicia and Richard Hughes, Amelia and Alfredo Trujillo and Amanda and Patricio Perez; brother-in-law: Rev. Carlos and Barb Calvo and Alberto and Annie Serrano; sister-in-law: Estella Martinez; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Cornerstone Tabernacle, 781 Lincoln Avenue in Holland. Assistant Pastor Paul Castaneda and Rev. Carlos Calvo will be officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Monday, November 1, 2021, at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Arrangements are by Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel.
