- 4-part series explores causes of poverty and tools for change. The Holland Human Relations Commission is hosting a four-part Lunch and Learn series to explore the causes of poverty and tools for change. It will be held at Herrick District Library on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, 10, and 17.
- Diversity Forum: 10 insights about gaps in equity and inclusion. This year’s Ottawa County Diversity Forum tackled how to close equity and inclusion gaps in education, law enforcement, mental health, local government, immigration, and youth development. Here are 10 insights from the day-long conference.
- GRCC looking to share decades of awards with former student-athletes. The GRCC athletic department wants former student-athletes to have the awards they earned during their time in college. The trophies and awards date back to the 1960s.
- Opening of Food Club brings new food access model to Holland. Community Action House’s new Food Club is based on a model that transforms how food assistance is offered. It prioritizes healthy options in a high-dignity, grocery store-style environment.
- WHTC’s Gary Stevens honored for longevity. For many, Gary Stevens is the voice of Holland. Whether he’s reporting or hosting shows, Stevens can be heard on WHTC six hours daily, Monday through Friday.
