Ann Marie Mason, age 85, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021, in her home in Holland, MI, after a short battle with cancer.
She was an avid reader, gardener and enjoyed challenging crossword puzzles at every opportunity. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Ann worked in Hope College’s Personnel Department for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Lucile Freeman; brothers, Fredrick, John, and Martin Freeman of Holland; and daughter-in-law, Suzanne Mason Prause.
She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Thomas Mason of Holland; sister, Laura Hoek; sisters-in-law, Linda Freeman, Kathy Freeman both of Holland; and Myrna Freeman of Arizona; her children, Barbara (Randy) Eddy of Saegertown, PA; Robert (Julie) Vandenberg of Fennville, MI; Douglas (Tricia) Vandenberg of Allegan, MI; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00 am on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, 77 West 32nd St. Holland, MI 49423.
Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation and start at 11:00 am there at the church.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Ann’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Spectrum Health Hospice.
Burial to take place in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
