Kenneth Lee Diepenhorst, age 77, of Holland, died Thursday, October 21, 2021, after a brief illness.
Born to Leonard and Wilma (Meengs) Diepenhorst in Zeeland, Michigan.
Ken graduated from Holland Christian High School in 1962. He retired from Herman Miller after 25 years of service. He is a member of Fellowship Reformed Church in Holland and former member of Beechwood Reformed Church where he was very active in their food pantry. Ken loved to sing and was a member of the Holland Community Chorale, in addition, to singing in a quartet for several years. He enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and watching the Tigers, Pistons, and Lions play.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Edwin Diepenhorst and brother-in-law Ken Buter.
He is survived by his loving wife Bette of 57 years and children; daughter Kim (John) Sebesta, and their children, Taylor (Eldon) and Carly; son Greg (Doreen) Diepenhorst, and their children, Bobby (Christi) and great-grandchildren, Marcellus and Airabella, Patrick (Hope) and Ann; daughter Rhonda (John) Sanders and their children, Emma, Megan, and Gray; sister: Mary Buter and sister-in-law: Ruth Diepenhorst.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, October 29, 2021, at Dykstra Funeral Homes-Mulder Chapel (the family requests that masks be worn at the service and visitation), 188 West 32nd Street in Holland. Rev. Marlin Vis will be officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Mulder Chapel and from 10-11 am prior to the service.
