HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland’s parking board is set to meet at 8:30 a.m. today.
Agenda items include updates on budgets for the Seventh Street deck repair; parking-lot repaving; and how city officials plan to reduce snowplowing costs.
City records reflect a $25,722.73 deficit for the 2021 fiscal year, and a projected 2022 deficit of $177,250.
Holland’s parking board’s agenda and packet for today’s meeting, set for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 25, 2021, in the conference room at the Holland Civic Center Place, 150 W. Eighth Street, is online at cityofholland.civicweb.net/Portal/MeetingInformation.aspx
The resolution in place allowing downtown Holland retailers to use parking spaces for displays and dining expires in December. Notes for this parking board meeting indicate they currently plan to let that resolution expire.
The board will also discuss a proposal to install security cameras inside stairwells at the Ninth Street parking deck, this after some graffiti and other incident in the stairwells. Rumble strips are also being considered for the deck’s top level to discourage speeders.
