HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The company that owns Public Restaurant, 131 E. Main Ave. in Zeeland, has announced the eatery will close later this year. In a Facebook post, the owners wrote, “Starting Saturday, December 18th, 2021, we will be moving out of our space in Zeeland to make way for the growth of our very good friends at Moxy Dental. We could not be more excited about their success and wish them nothing but the best, although this decision is bittersweet.”
The notice, posted under the restaurant’s parent company logo, 1983 Restaurants, goes on to say the last 10 years at the downtown Zeeland location led to strong community connections. “We could not feel more blessed to have served you for so long. But, this isn’t the end. It’s the start of a new chapter.”
The message ends with a suggestion that 1983 Restaurants will continue expanding. The company’s three other restaurants, Poquito, Obstacle No. 1 and Seventy Six, are all in downtown Holland.
