HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The man responsible for crashing into a couple walking near Holland Hospital has been sentenced.
Circuit Court Judge Jon Hulsing sentenced Holland resident Joseph Lee Molina III to three years of probation and 300 days in the Ottawa County Jail, according to The Holland Sentinel. Molina was also ordered to repay the victims more than $47,000 in restitution.
The crash survivors, Alex Arent and Olivia Ancil, told the court their lives have been irreparably harmed by the crash.
The couple were able to marry late last year, but Ancil, who had been working at Holland Hospital as a nurse and was an active recreational tennis player, is no longer able to work or pursue such sports, according to The Sentinel’s story.
