HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — Holland’s two-day Fall Fest kicks off at 10 a.m. today and will range from community tulip planting, professional pumpkin carvers, street performers, pumpkin painting, downtown walking tours, and an artisan market.
Organizers announced late this week hayrides were cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control.
Friday activities include pumpkin carvers creating jack-o-lanterns on Eighth Street. They will be lit up for the evening.
On Saturday, the carvers return to sculpt at the Holland Farmers Market and in Downtown Holland. Other family friendly fall-themed activities including pumpkin painting, a candy in the haystack hunt, pumpkin toss contest, and more.
Tulip Time Festival and the City of Holland’s parks officials are co-hosting the annual Community Tulip Planting, set for 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, and 8 to 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Window on the Waterfront Park, on 6th Street, between Columbia and College avenues.
Tulip Time will host a new event the Fall Artisan Market at Windmill Island Gardens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct 9, featuring handmade and original arts and crafts.
