HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Members of Holland City Council is set to meet at for a regular business meeting at 6 p.m. today.
Among the agenda items, some of which are aimed at updating zoning designations to align properties with the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO):
- Setting a public hearing for 6 p.m. Oct. 20, 2021, for designating 60 E. 40th Ave. a brownfield, making the developer eligible for being reimbursed for up to $746,800 plus local administrative costs, as part of the State Land Bank Authority’s 5/50 payments. This development is a Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity, Inc. and Jubilee Ministries, Inc. joint project.
- A proposed rezoning of the Holland Aquatic Center, 170 West 22nd St. from a traditional neighborhood residential site to a planned unit development district. This is a first reading; the final reading and vote for approve is set for Oct. 20, 2021.
- A resolution to support project applications for the Macatawa Bay Area Coordinating Council’s Surface Transportation Program (STP) and the Congestion Mitigation / Air Quality (CMAQ) program:
- Under the STP:
1. Columbia Avenue from 10th Street to 24th Street (reconstruction)
2. Waverly Road from 16th Street to Chicago Drive (resurfacing)
3. Ottawa Ave. from 32nd to 16th Street (resurfacing)
4. 32nd Street from Lincoln Avenue to Old Orchard Road (resurfacing)
5. Kollen Park Drive and 11th Street from 16th Street to Van Raalte Avenue (reconstruction)
6. 6th Street from River Avenue to Columbia Avenue (reconstruction) - The CMAQ project applications:
1. 17th Street Improvements from South Shore Drive to Central Avenue (on-street bike lanes)
2. City-wide Traffic Signal Optimization
