HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) — Six people were hurt in a two-car crash in Zeeland Township Monday night.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott indicated the crash happened just before 7:15 p.m. Sept. 27, 2021, when a 33-year-old Hamilton man, driving a 2002 Chrysler west on Bryon, crossed the intersection of 48th, where his car collided with a northbound vehicle that had a 36-year-old Hamilton man at the wheel of a Hyundai.
The Hyundai’s four passengers, which included a 33-year-old woman, and two girls, ages 7 and 1, respectively, all went to Spectrum Zeeland Hospital with what police called non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Chrysler and his passenger, a 12-year-old boy, went to Metro Hospital with what police called non life-threatening injuries.
Zeeland Township firefighters aided deputies and crash victims at the scene.
Knott indicated alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s officials.
