UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – Nearly 51 years after the late Tom Dempsey of the Saints booted a 63-yard field goal to beat the Lions at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans, Justin Turner broke that NFL record with a 66-yard field goal with three seconds left to lift the Baltimore Ravens past the Lions at Ford Field on Sunday, 19-17. Dempsey died this past April at 73 from COVID 19 complications.
Meanwhile in Cleveland, Baker Mayfield’s 13-yard touchdown pass to Austin Hooper with 23 seconds left in the first half broke a 3-3 tie, and the Browns went on to down the visiting Bears on Sunday, 26-6.
