HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The grand opening of the Van Raalte dog park is set for 3 to 6 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 24, 2021.
The dog park is on the southern side of Van Raalte Park, 975 E. 24th St. in Holland.
All dogs must be leashed and all cats must be in carriers outside of the 3-acre fenced-in dog park.
Owners of animals which are not spayed or neutered will pay $10 fee, which goes toward getting the animal spayed or neutered at Harbor Humane Society.
The dog-park ribbon-cutting is set 3:15 p.m., with remarks by Mayor Nathan Bocks. Members of the Holland Department of Public Safety K-9 unit will be on site as will the officers with the Polar Patrol truck, giving away ice cream.
Dog will get free treats, too.
