Kathy was born March 2, 1940, to Jerald and Frances (Whitegraf) Saggers. She lived all of her life in the Holland area and worked for the Saugatuck Drug Store with wonderful people she called family. She loved having out-of-town visitors come in to do what she did best – to talk and sell merchandise. A very personable and classy lady, she loved browsing and shopping in all her boutiques, always searching for something. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She “decorated her house” was an understatement, and her menu was just as important. She loved having the whole family over to play games, have great conversation, and hours of family time. A very special one-of-a-kind lady who lived a full life and will be deeply missed by all.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Scott M. Bower.

She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Scott W. Brouwer; daughter Sally (Tom) Gutknecht; stepson Dennis Brouwer; daughter-in-law Tiffany Bower; grandchildren Heather (Tony) VanderMolen, Matthew (Karianne) Rankins, Joshua (Marisa) Rankins, Adrienne (Daniel) Conner, Stacy (Daniel) Marrero, Ireland Bower, Carson Bower, Jimmy Domer, and Joanna Domer; 17 great-grandchildren; brother Jerry (Cheryl) Saggers; niece Casey (Don) Saggers Hughes; nephews Andrew Saggers and Chris Saggers; many extended family and friends.

A memorial visitation to celebrate Kathy’s life will be from 4-8:00 p.m Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St., Holland.
