Kenneth J. Slager, age 65, of Holland, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
Ken was a devoted husband, loving father of 3 boys, and a lifelong follower of the Lord. A deeply compassionate man, he lived his faith every day helping others in need with home or car repairs and could fix just about everything. He loved to spend time with friends and family – camping up north, working on or driving anything that had wheels and a motor, or pursuing his loved ones’ hobbies along with them.
Ken worked in the heating and cooling business for 47 years, including as part-owner of Action Heating and Cooling from 1991 through 2019. He was a former member of Park Christian Reformed Church for 25 years, serving as a Cadet leader, on building and grounds committee, and as a Shepherding Deacon. Ken was also a member of the Cushman Scooter Club.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Evelyn Slager, and brother-in-law, Alan Walters.

Funeral services are planned for 11:00 Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Faith Christian Reformed Church, 85 W 26th St., Holland. Rev. Jack Dik will officiate. Burial will be in Graafschap Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00-7:00 p.m Wednesday at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Christian Schools.
