SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Some more information has come out in the search for a man who allegedly tried to grab a Saugatuck High School student outside of the school building on Thursday (Sept. 2, 2021).
On Friday, Allegan County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mike Brown said that the description of the suspect vehicle is “believed to be a beige (colored) early 2000’s Ford Escape or Explorer.” He also attached a sketch of the man wanted for questioning.
In the initial report of the incident, which occurred around 10:30 AM, the unnamed 17-year-old girl said that she had just left the building off of Elizabeth Street and was leaning into the rear passenger door of her car. A skinny, blonde hair Caucasian man, described in being in his early 20’s with short, messy hair, came up behind her and attempted to grab her just above the waist. She was able to break free from his grasp, went into the vehicle and began kicking out at him. The suspect fled into the vehicle now being sought.
