Ruth Rigterink, age 94, of Hamilton, entered her heavenly home on Monday, August 30, 2021.
Ruth was a wonderful and loving mother who instilled a strong Christian faith in her children. She was a caring person but also a fierce competitor when it came time to play games. Ruth loved bowling and even has gold medals from the senior Olympics.
She will be deeply missed by those who survive, including her daughters: Rhonda and Cal Oldebekking, Roxanne and Steve Wilkins; daughter-in-law, Kathy Wolfe; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Nick and Krista Oldebekking (Graham), Gregg and Amanda Oldebekking (Elliana, Colton, Greyson), David and Alicia Oldebekking (Mason, Harper, Hattie), Jonathan and Kiel Patmos (Marisa, Taylor), Rachel Patmos, Nathan and Jennifer Patmos (Cody, Nikki, Keagan, Camden, Christina, Clayton), Amy Wolfe; as well as by many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Russell Wolfe in 1962, her second husband Leon Rigterink in 1992, and her son Randy Wolfe in 2014.
Funeral services to honor Ruth’s life and faith will be at 2:30 p.m on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Haven Reformed Church, 4691 Oak Street, Hamilton, MI 49419. Visitation with the family will be at the church from 1:00 p.m-2:15 p.m prior to the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
