Pamela Marie Boersema, 72, of Holland, went home to Heaven on Sunday, August 29, 2021, following a year’s long battle with cancer.
Pam was born May 17, 1949, in Grand Rapids, to Neil and Louann VanAntwerpen. She graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School and later married Gary Boersema on May 2, 1969. Pam also graduated from GVSU with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She enjoyed her work as an RN at Zeeland Community Hospital until her retirement in 2014. Pam was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church where she served as an elder. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law Carl Assink.
Pam is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary, their children and grandchildren: Chad Boersema and Sophia Thomas (Caedmon) of California, Katey and Dean Krupa (Emily) of Arizona, Ginny and Bryan Evans (Caleb, Leah, Molly) of Alaska; brother Jim and Laurie Van Antwerpen, in-laws: Bonnie Assink, Steve and Vickie Boersema, Dawn and Roger Rotman, Mark and Jackie Boersema; and many extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Fellowship Reformed Church, 2165 E. Lakewood Blvd, Holland MI 49424.
