No, this is not a “news” story.
Ahead of an impending annual physical on Sept. 23, and knowing that the long-time Primary Care Physician (i.e. “family doctor”) will be displeased with what the scales will say as to weight, it’s time to be a little proactive in terms of physical activity.
So, for the next few days (hopefully), it’s time for, as Joe Jackson would sing in the 1980’s, “Steppin’ Out.”
It’s a chance to not only get some needed footwork in, but as a way to spur this into more than just an occasional stroll, it’s an opportunity to take some photos of what is seen in the Tulip City.
Some of the images will be familiar, some may be unique, but it will be from what was seen in the area in and around our studios on Central and 4th. It’s meant to show to those of you not here what it’s like apart from the Tulip Time Festival, and for those of you who, as Mayor Nathan Bocks declares, “get to live here,” it may be an image of something taken for granted.
Anyway, here goes … and the step count for this first day was around 4,000. Plenty of ways to go.
Thanks!
Gary
