HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies, Holland Township firefighters, and a Michigan State Police bomb squad responded to the report of a suspicious package at the county offices at 12265 James St. in Holland Township.
Police briefly closed James Street, between Westshore Drive and 120th Avenue for the investigation, after being called to the scene at 9:22 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Jake Sparks emailed WHTC later, writing, “Nothing suspicious or dangerous found in the unattended item” and police believe there wasn’t “any criminal intent” related to the item and no danger to the public.
