HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 27-year-old Holland man died in a car-tree crash just before 2 a.m. today.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Keith Biros, a road patrol supervisor, indicated deputies were dispatched to the scene, in front of Lakewood Elementary School in Park Township. Police believe the driver had been southbound on North 168th Avenue when the car left the road, hitting a tree on the west side of the road in front of the school’s parking lot. The driver, the only person in the car, was pinned inside with critical injuries.
Lifesaving efforts at the scene were unsuccessful.
