HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A Chase Bank ATM burglery reported just before 5:30 a.m. in Jenison, at 615 Baldwin St. in Jenison.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong indicated police were alerted Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, by bank security officials who’d been monitoring bank properties via webcams.
Grandville police, road patrol deputies and the Sheriff’s K-9 unit responded to the scene, where they learn the suspects had fled on foot, with an undisclosed amount of cash. They found a pick-up truck with tow strap and chains used to pull off the ATM’s front panel, allowing them to steal cash. Detectives also learned the truck had been stolen in Grand Rapids.
