HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 74-year-old Spring Lake woman suffered serious injuries in a Spring Lake Township crash.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike VanDenBosch said the woman has been driving east on Taft Street just after 2 p.m. Aug. 5, 2021, but did not stop for the stop sign at 174th Avenue.
A 75-year-old Norton Shores man driving north on 174th hit the passenger side of the woman’s car.
The Spring Lake woman went by LIFE EMS to an area hospital with serious injuries, which VanDenBosch said appeared to be serious condition, but was awake and alert at the crash scene.
Both drivers had been wearing seatbelts. The Norton Shores man wasn’t physically injured.
The crash remains under investigation, but VanDenBosch said alcohol, drugs and speed do not appear to be factors.
