HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A legacy nearly three decades long continues for the City of Holland.
For the 29th straight year, the Tulip City has earned a Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, as judged by an impartial panel, has been earned by Holland since 1992.
“This GFOA award affirms a long-standing priority of assuring Holland’s citizens that their hard-earned tax dollars are properly accounted for,” City Manager Keith Van Beek said in a city-issued statement.
Van Beek will formally present this award to city Finance Director Lynn McCammon and Assistant Finance Director Michelle Price during tonight’s (Aug. 4, 2021) Holland City Council meeting, which begins at its new regular time at 6 PM.
