HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – An author with a deft touch to handle tough subjects with sensitivity and even humor is headed to Holland – virtually.
On Monday (July 26, 2021), Herrick District Library hosts a 7 PM ZOOM session with Laurie Halse Anderson, an acclaimed best-selling author who has written books with topics ranging from the popular Vet Volunteers series for youths to historical fiction to the young adult Speak, Chains and Shout novels addressing the concerns of sexual assault victims.
“Anyone who is struggling socially should come,” said HDL Reference Librarian Abbey Stroop in a library statement. “Her messages are so pro-mental health and filled with compassion. She is the author we need right now as we ease our way back into routine living.”
Registration is required through this link, and the session will be recorded and distributed via the Raven podcast, a link of which is here.
