Guadalupe “Lupe” Jimenez, 76, of Fennville, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She passed away peacefully at her home with her family. Born September 14, 1944, in Harlingen, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Genaro and Isabela Diaz. Her family decided to move to Fennville, and it was here that she met and married Primitivo Jimenez. Lupe was a loving wife and mother, and she really loved her grandchildren. Lupe was a very hardworking person, always providing for and taking care of her family. She worked at Donnelly/Magna in Holland for many years before retiring. Lupe loved to crochet, cook, spoil her grandchildren, and attend to her flowers. She had a very outgoing personality and loved making many friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Her jokes were silly, but they always made you laugh. Lupe had a very beautiful and caring heart and raised her family well. She will be sorely missed.
In addition to her husband, Primitivo, Lupe is survived by her sons, Primitivo Jimenez, Estevan Jimenez, and Marco Jimenez; daughter, Angelica Fisher; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her siblings, Jessie Diaz, Mariano Diaz, Maria Batey, Jose Diaz, Refugio Diaz, Francisca Stoke, Genaro Diaz, Carmen Sanchez, and Teresa Tufona; ten nephews and nine nieces. Along with her parents, Lupe was preceded in death by her brother, Juan Diaz.
The family will receive friends at Chappell Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, July 23, 2021 beginning at 11:45 AM with visitation prior, starting at 11:00 AM. Lupe will be laid to rest in Fennville Cemetery.
