The Chicago Cubs’ game against the visiting St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field was postponed due to weather.
Andrew Vaughn hit a pair of homers, driving in four runs, but the Chicago White Sox needed a three-run round-tripper by Adam Engel in the 10th inning to defeat the Orioles in Baltimore, 7-5.
The teams now take a break for tomorrow night’s All-Star Game in Denver before most return to action on Friday. The Tigers host the Minnesota Twins in a day-night doubleheader at Comerica Park, with broadcast times at 1:50 PM and 6:50 PM on 99 7/1450 WHTC, while the Cubs are in Phoenix to battle the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the White Sox entertain the Houston Astros at Guaranteed Rate Field.
