Sandra “Sandy” Anne Perales, age 74 of Holland, passed away peacefully into the arms of God on July 2, 2021, at home surrounded by family.
Sandy worked for Polynesian Pools, Chris-Craft, and S2 Yachts before entering a tenure of 25 years with Textron Incorporated. During that tenure, Sandy earned multiple degrees and certificates in disciplines ranging from business to taxation. She worked as an inventory specialist auditor, implementing new processes at various locations around the country, at the summation of her career.
During that time Sandy also volunteered with the City of Holland Parks Department and enjoyed sewing and crocheting, or could be found tending to her garden. Most importantly loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She created many special family traditions, including her family holiday cookie decorating parties and helping organize family reunions. She often raised funds for those in need, helping those in crisis, those with cancer, and was a supporter of March of Dimes. She had a big heart and was always willing to open her home to help others when they were going through difficult life circumstances.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon (Wallace) and Edna (Ida), brothers Franklin Jay and Gordon Ira.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband Abraham Perales Jr.; children Scott Alan Burklow, Rick Alan Burklow, and Cindy Lynne (Robert) Anderson-Kidder, Andrew Taylor (Leigha) Perales and Leslie Ann (Stevan) Perales Loges; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings Leonard (Judy), Sherry (Butch) Sherman, and Kim (Carl) Hatch; in-laws, Laura Perales, John (Lori) Perales, Mario Perales, Gerard (Anna) Perales, Martha (David) Scherer, and Mary (Russ) Logan; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
