HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a brawl ended in gunfire at 4225 S. University Drive in Georgetown Township, just south of Grand Valley State University’s campus.
Deputies were called to the scene just before 3 a.m. Sunday, July 4, 2021, on the report of a fight in progress. While callers were talking to dispatchers, the dispatchers could gunshots in the background, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Matthew Wildfong.
Deputies on scene recovered several shell casings and canvassed the area. There appeared to be no shooting victims at the scene and no other injuries were reported by witnesses or discerned by police.
