Barbara Inman, age 68, of Holland, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.
Ms. Inman was born to John and Elinore Basnett in Rochester, New York on September 19, 1952. Barb graduated from Hope College in 1974. She was a lifelong physical education teacher having taught for Zeeland Public Schools for 31 years. Ms. Inman also coached high school and middle school volleyball. Barb met her late husband Max Inman through coaching and they were married for 31 years. Barb was a very involved grandmother (Meema) with all of her grandchildren’s sports and activities. Gardening was one of Barb’s favorite hobbies and she attained the status of Master Gardener. She enjoyed taking cruises with friends and family. Barb also enjoyed scrapbooking and given her love of the outdoors she enjoyed playing yard games.
Ms. Inman is survived by her daughter Lindsey (Adam) Sims and their children, Alexis Mulder, Emerson Sims; step-sons, Matt (Stephanie) Inman and their children, Isaac, Katelyn and Troy (Jill) Inman and their children, Kaley, Trevor, and Bryce; sister, Janet Basnett; niece, Layla Lamchahab and much more extended family.
Barb was preceded in death by her loving husband Max Inman in 2010.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, June 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Holland Fish and Game Club, 10840 Chicago Dr, Zeeland, MI.
