HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — An 86-year-old Zeeland Township man has died from injuries suffered in a traffic crash on Saturday, June 12, 2021, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Capt. Jake Sparks/
The crash happened on 92nd Avenue, near North Maple Lake Drive in Zeeland Township, Sparks said in an email to the media. The man had been driving a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country south on 92nd Avenue and was slowing to make a left turn onto North Maple Lake Drive, police said.
A 2006 Chevy Equinox with a 27 year old Zeeland Township man at the wheel, hit the Chrysler.
Both drivers had been wearing seatbelts, according to police, and the younger man was not physically injured.
The driver of the Chrysler went by ambulance to an area hospital, according to police, where his condition worsened. He died Tuesday morning.
