HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Allegan County Health officials are appealing to people to get vaccinated against COVID-19. County efforts to make it easier include pop-up clinics, a mobile unit and social-media outreach. The county is lagging behind others in getting people vaccinated, with just under 50 percent of those eligible for the shots having gotten them as of May 18, 2021.
Clinics set for this week — for anyone 12 and older — include:
2 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Otsego High School, 550 Washington St. in Otsego.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at Allegan High School, 1560 M-40, Allegan
Children 12 through 17 years old need a parent or legal guardian to accompany them to their appointment in order to provide consent to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. For those 18 and older the vaccine offered depends on supply.
People must bring an ID/badge and wear a short sleeved shirt and be willing to complete a COVID-19 screening at the vaccine clinic.
